About Courtside Escapes

Courtside Escapes creates active travel experiences across Europe that blend racquet sports with culture and connection. Each trip is built for players who want to stay moving, combining sport with hand-picked cultural experiences, authentic food, traditions, and more. Founded by two college teammates with years of coaching and travel experience, we design small-group journeys that combine high-quality instruction with authentic local adventures. Whether you come solo or with friends, every Courtside Escape offers a balance of play, relaxation, and discovery. It’s more than a vacation; it’s an adventure built around the sport you love.
Your guides on and off the court
My name is Jasper Schaadt (24) and I am originally from Germany. I played college tennis with Alejandro at Cardinal Stritch University and later competed in Division I tennis at Marquette. I have a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing and an MBA with specialization in Business Analytics. With over 8 years of coaching experience, I’ve worked in camps, academies, and private lessons. Beyond tennis, I’ve discovered a passion for pickleball, where I now compete semi-professionally while working toward going pro. I’ve traveled to 30+ countries, and I’m excited to combine my love of sport and travel with Courtside Escapes. Most of all, I’m looking forward to personally welcoming each of you on this unforgettable journey.
My name is Alejandro Martínez Durá (28), and I am originally from Castellón de la Plana, on Spain’s sunny Mediterranean coast, where our first Courtside Escape takes place. I grew up playing tennis there, competed, and built lasting connections through the sport, and I’m excited to share my home, its culture, and its people with you. After competing on the ITF Futures Tour, I moved to the United States to play college tennis at Cardinal Stritch University with Jasper, and later began coaching at Cardinal Stritch, Concordia University, and now MSOE. With over 10 years of coaching experience, I’ve worked with players of all levels across Europe and the U.S. Through Courtside Escapes, I’m excited to combine great tennis with the authentic Mediterranean experience I grew up with.
